Michael is the Chief Operating Officer of Klingman & Associates.  Michael manages the firm’s day-to-day activities and is responsible for helping establish firm strategy to ensure Klingman continues to provide best-in-class service to its clients.  Prior to joining the firm, Michael was a Managing Director at Focus Financial Partners, a partnership of independent wealth management firms. Through his interactions at Focus with a vast number of wealth management firms, Michael was constantly exposed to best practices which he brings with him to Klingman.

Before joining Focus, Michael was a principal at Kidd & Company, a private equity firm, where he was responsible for identifying, structuring and managing acquisitions.  Mr. Paley had previously worked in the strategic and financial planning group at Pepsi-Cola North America and as a strategy consultant at Braxton Associates.  Michael received an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School and a BSE in Operations Research, magna cum laude, from Princeton University where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

Outside of work, when he is not spending time with his wife, Nancy, and 2 daughters, Michael enjoys skiing, playing golf, and following New York sports teams. He is also an active member of the YPO NY Liberty chapter.
